8. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

This section applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this policy.

Categories of personal information we collect

Through our website, in the preceding twelve (12) months, we may have collected the following categories (as defined by the CCPA):

  • Identifiers — name, email address, postal address, phone number, IP address, online identifiers
  • California Customer Records information (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)) — name, address, telephone number
  • Commercial information — records of services you have inquired about or considered
  • Internet or other network activity — browsing activity and interactions with our site and ads

We do not knowingly collect the CCPA categories covering protected classifications, biometric information, geolocation, sensory data, professional/employment information (beyond what you choose to share), education information, or inferences used for profiling.

Sources

We obtain this information directly from you (forms and communications through the website), automatically (cookies and site activity), and from Service Providers (such as analytics providers).

Sale and sharing

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. Our use of advertising and analytics technologies (such as tags from Google, Meta, and LinkedIn) may constitute “sharing” for “cross-context behavioral advertising” under California law. California residents may opt out of this sharing by using the “Your Privacy Choices” link in our website footer, by enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in a supported browser, or by adjusting the cookie controls described in Section 7.

Your rights

California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we share it with
  • Access the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you
  • Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights

To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@m1valuations.com or through m1valuations.com. Only you, or someone you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable request. We must be able to verify your identity and confirm the information relates to you. We will respond within 45 days, with one possible 45-day extension when reasonably necessary. Disclosures will cover the 12-month period preceding the request.

9. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know are under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@m1valuations.com and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

Our Service may contain links to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to DNT signals, and our website does not currently respond to them. We do, however, honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as described in Section 8.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last Updated” date. Changes are effective when posted.
